About us

The website batcountry.pl has been launched at the beginning of 2008 as a7x.one.pl. At the time we had only a few readers. Few people in Poland knew Avenged Sevenfold back then. We wanted to change that. We’ve started sharing reliable news about the band since the very beginning. There was only one dream that we wanted to fulfill – A7X’s concert in Poland.

In September 2009, we achieved our first small success – our a7x.one.pl banner appeared on the official A7X website, as a part of promoting their fanbases.
We rolled up our sleeves and took matters into own hands in 2010. The process to bring them to Poland had begun. We mobilized Polish fans in July and asked them to send their photos with the message to the band, which was written by us, and later cut into single words and put together in the video named Message from A7X Polish Fans.

Dear Larry, Dear Matt, Dear Syn, Dear Zacky, Dear Johnny and Dear Mike! Sometimes it suffice really not so much to make so many people’s dream come true! Just look at these rock-starved faces, Larry! If you just give the boys a chance to come and play in Poland, polish A7x fans will do their best to make it the most powerful and totally awesome rock event ever! Promise! Polish fans can’t wait to see The Avenged Sevenfold finally rock in Poland !!!!! P.S. Why don’t you drop us a line on Twitter, Larry?

After many days of making sure Avenged Sevenfold or anyone related to them saw the video, we could finally celebrate our success. Kazy Brown from Warner Bros Records promised us that he was going to pass it to the band and their manager, Larry Jacobson. Larry later promised us to bring them to Poland.

Our efforts and wishes turned out to be not enough. It was necessary to have interest from agencies involved in the organizing concerts, which we couldn’t earn. Avenged Sevenfold wasn’t very popular in Poland back then and finding any of their albums in any music store was some kind of a miracle. We took the name A7X Polish Fans and started promoting the band in our country among fans and agencies. We were in touch with the band’s management, as well as with leading Polish concerts and festivals promoters. At the same time, we were constantly trying to remind the band about our existence by sending them requests and messages via social network. Polish fans have been very active and thanks to their activity the word Poland was spoken more than once in some interviews with A7X.
The band exactly knew that we were waiting for them – we found this out in November 2010, when a big group of Polish fans decided to join one of their concerts of European tour in Hamburg. The one and only M.Shadows payed attention to them. A Polish flag, which was thrown on the stage during the show, hung proudly on the drums.

Three months later, we created another video with the message for them. This time we managed to reach Zacky V in person.

Months went by and we were still active. We continued to work, being still hopeful. We were constantly reminding the band about our existence. The amount of fans, who were working together thanks to our site batcountry.pl and social network profiles named A7X Polish Fans, was still growing. We began to earn interest of thousands of them.

December the 20th, 2013 was the day when we found out that we succeeded. Live Nation announced the show in Lodz. As soon as the first excitement wore off, we threw ourselves into the work. We started to cooperate with concert’s promoter and A7X’s management. We were promoting the concert by organizing group departures for fans, contests with amazing awards such as concert tickets, and preparing promotional material. We’ve gotten our official shirts designed, especially for the first concert of Avenged Sevenfold in Poland. They were proudly presented by more than a hundred fans.

To proudly greet Avenged Sevenfold, we encouraged fans to take lighters, and white and red cards with the word 'welcome’ written on it. Our representatives in front of the stage, placed white and red flag with a width of five metres, which was later commented on by M. Shadows: That’s the biggest fucking flag I’ve ever seen. I think it’s bigger than my house. During the concert, he also mentioned our page on Facebook and thanked us for our work. The band received the flag and our T-shirt.

A part of our office was invited for Meet&Greet with the band, where the members of Avenged Sevenfold shook our hands and thanked one more time for the efforts put in bringing them to our country.

Meet & Greet with A7X

We fulfilled our dream, but we didn’t rest on our laurels. We reminded the band about A7X Polish Fans in 2017 during the show in Berlin.

After long 11 years we finally got to see Avenged Sevenfold in Poland again. On June 22th, 2025 the band gave a show in Wrocław. This time we’ve planned something special too – a huge flag of the size of Wrocław’s Hala Stulecia venue made of the phones’ flashlights. You can read the show report (in Polish) and see the photos in Hania’s article.

Follow us on social media – it definitely wasn’t our last show together! 🙂
